Issue affects units produced between March and April 2025; risk involves improperly secured bolts on the front fender.
Yamaha has announced a recall of the Ténéré 700 Rally, model year 2025, after identifying that bolts on the front fender may not have been properly installed at the factory. The fault could cause the bolts to loosen during riding, posing a risk of parts falling onto the road and endangering vehicles behind.
According to the manufacturer, 24 motorcycles were affected in Germany, but the problem was detected and resolved before delivery. The recall, however, covers units distributed throughout Europe, with actions already underway in Slovenia and Sweden.

Safety risk

According to Yamaha, loose bolts could lead to the partial detachment of the front fender. If they fall onto the road, they become hazardous objects capable of hitting other vehicles or forcing drivers to take sudden evasive maneuvers.
The recall is identified by code MC301 and covers the following models:
- Model name: XTZ690 (Ténéré 700 Rally)
- Type approval: DM20, e13168/201302437*00
- Model year: 2025
- Production period: 01.03.2025 – 30.04.2025
- Country of origin: France

Ténéré 700 Rally: differences and features
The Yamaha Ténéré 700 has been one of the most successful adventure bikes since 2019 and in 2025 received a facelift with chassis improvements and modernized features.
The Rally version stands out for its use of premium Kayaba (KYB) suspension components, fully adjustable, with increased travel (230 mm at the front and 210 mm at the rear) and a seat height raised to 910 mm. The model also includes a 4 mm aluminum skid plate, titanium footpegs and a high fender, features inherited from the former Extreme Edition.
With a full tank, the Rally weighs 210 kg, about 5 kg more than the comparable Extreme version, but offers greater robustness and off-road focus.
